Mysore Sri M. Nagaraj  & Mysore Dr. M. Manjunath (Violinists) are the sons and disciples of well-known violinist Sri. S. Mahadevappa of Mysore. Both Nagaraj and Manjunath were childhood prodigies who matured quickly to become superb violinists. Nagaraj and Manjunath gave their first concerts at the ages of eleven and nine, respectively. At fourteen, Nagaraj won the coveted Best Violinist award from Madras Academy, later in quick succession won five times and became the youngest "A" grade artist of AIR.  In 1981, he was acclaimed one of the Best Senior Violinists in Madras Academy and in 1986 declared to be one of the "Top 22 Musicians" in Carnatic Music During the same year, Nagaraj was given a Gold Medal and conferred the title of "Sangeetha Ratna." Just as his brother, Manjunath won the Best Violinist awards, "A" grade status, three gold medals and first rank in Master of Music Degree. Recently, he received his Doctorate degree from Mysore University for his work on "Styles of Violin Playing." Last year, Manjunath was recognized as the best Violinist during Madras Music Festival. Nagaraj and Manjunath have given numerous, highly successful performance in the USA, Canada and Europe separately and together.

Thiruvarur Bhaktavatsalam (Mridangist) was born  in a family of traditional musicians and received his training from his maternal uncle Sri Thiruvarur Krishnamurthy and his mother Smt. T. R. Anandavalli. Hvaing started performing at the age of nine, Bhaktavatsalam has accompanied all top ranking artists in India, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Sultanate of Oman, UK, And other European countries. He has participated in many music festivals around the globe, including the "Tala Vadya Kutcheri" at the festival of India held in Paris during 1985. He released two solo audio cassettes, "laya Vichitram" and "Tala Bhakti".Bhaktavatsalam was honored with the title "Mridanga Vadya Mani" and recognized as "Asthana Vidwan" by his Holiness Sri Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham.  Furthermore, he has received the titles of "Kalaimani" from Tamilnadu government, "Suswara Sugalaya Sangeetha," "Kala Rathnam," "Tala Vidhyadara Sudha", and "Laya Vadya Samrat." In 1993, Dr. Balamuralikrishna felicitated him with "Kanakabhishekam" and conferred the title "Mridanga Kala Bharati" under the auspices of Bharati Gana Sabha in Amalapuram.
