| About Sumanth Swaminathan:
Dr. Sumanth Swaminathan started training in vocal Carnatic Music at the age of 8 from Sri T.N. Bala in the Philadelphia area. At the age of 14, he was initiated into Carnatic music on the saxophone during a visit by Padmashri Dr. Kadri Gopalnath. Sumanth subsequently trained under the renowned saxophone master during his summer visits to India, while continuing to study under Sri T.N. Bala. Sumanth has performed with Dr. Gopalnath in concerts and festivals across the world. Notable occasions include the Silver Jubilee celebrations of CMANA in 2002, and the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia in 2003. For the past three years, Sumanth has been a highly sought after solo artist for Kutcheris, wedding concerts, and dance productions across the United States. Sumanth has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a Ph.D in applied mathematics. He is a research scientist and a carnatic saxophone teacher in the greater Chicago and Milwaukee areas.
About Vijay Ganesh:
Vijay Ganesh has studied mridangam since the age of 6. He had his tutelage under the great and illustrious master: Sri. Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer. He has accompanied many leading artists in USA, Canada and India including Dr.Omana Kutty, Jayanthi Kumaresh, Mala Chandrasekhar, Sri Malladi Suri Babu, Gayatri Venkatraghavan, Smt Vijayalakshmi Subramanian, Sri TK Govinda Rao, and Sri Maharajapuram Ramachandran.
Among his many honors and awards are the best mridangist awards from the Chennai Music Academy (1999) and Sri Krishna Gana Sabha (1998) and the Government of India Cultural Scholarship for mridangam. He is a graded A.I.R (All India Radio, Chennai) artist. Vijay has accompanied Sumanth in several concerts during the last three years. He currently works as a business analyst in Virginia while teaching mridangam and performing for artists around the country.

About Vidwan O.S. Thyagarajan:
O.S.T.- The name says it all! This great musician was born on 03.04.1947. He is a classicist of traditional outfit who paints in glorious colors the fine shades of raga, kriti and swara in his numerous concerts. He had his earlier training under his father Sangeetha Bhooshanam O.V.Subramanian , Padma Bhushan Lalgudi C. Jayaraman and Sangeetha Kalanidhi T.M. Thyagarajan. An “A-top” graded artist of the All India Radio and of Doordarshan, he has been giving a large number of concerts well appreciated and relished. The titles won by him are “Sangeetha Choodamani” (Sri Krishna Gana Sabha) , Sangeetha Kala Sagara, (Kalasagaram, Hyderabad), “ Nada Gana Kala Praveena”, “Sangeetha Samrajya”, (Madurai), “Nadha Bhooshanam” Shanmukhananda Sabha, New Delhi. He is regularly featured by all leading sabhas in Chennai as well as throughout India and has toured many countries, including U.S.A, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Middle East, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Africa, and many cities in Europe. He worked as Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts, Annamalai University for 5 years. He has trained many disciples too.
About Mullaivasal G. Chandramouli:
In a career spanning 2 decades, Mullaivasal G. Chandramouli, who hails from a picturesque village in Thanjavur Dist., has performed widely, often accompanying great stalwarts or performing solo violin concerts across many continents.
Yuva Kala Bharati, Violin Isai Vendhan, Maharajapuram Viswanatha Iyer trust and Viswapriya awardee, Grade- A artist of both A.I.R. and Doordarshan, Music Academy awardee (‘Outstanding Young Violinist’ for senior concerts), Chandramouli initially received training from Smt. Savithri Sathyamurthy, and thereafter was groomed under the tutelage of the veteran violinist (Late) R.K.Venkatarama Sastry and Violin Maestro Sri V.V.Subrahmanyam. Perfection in bowing technique, bringing out the melodic nuances with purity, and weaving intricate and dexterous laya patterns are his forte. This technocrat from I.I.T. , Madras is also a committed music scholar and teacher who has spent many years researching fingering and bowing techniques and evolving a unique methodology that best exploits both the theory and practice of violin playing and the principles of Carnatic Vocal Music.
About Ramesh Srinivasan:
Ramesh is the leading disciple of Mridangam Maestro Sangita Kalanidhi Shri Vellore G. Ramabhadran and is the recipient of the prestigious ‘Laya Kala Rathna’ award for the year 2007, by Sriragam Fine Arts, Chennai. He has been performing publicly since 1984 and has provided Mridangam accompaniment at Music Academy and other Sabhas in Chennai on several occasions as well as numerous organizations abroad.
Prominent Carnatic musicians Ramesh has accompanied include Sangita Kalanidhi R.K. Srikantan, Sangita Kalanidhi T.K. Govinda Rao, Sangita Kalanidhi B. Rajam Iyer, Parur M.S. Anantharaman, Chitravina Ravikiran, Neyveli Santhanagopalan, Smt. S. Sowmya & Carnatica Brothers among others.
Ramesh was part of the ‘Panchakriya Super JugalBandhi Ensemble’ including Chitravina Ravikiran and Santoor Maestro Tarun Bhattacharya providing Mridangam support at multiple venues in N. America. He has also performed in JugalBandhi/Fusion concerts with Sitar virtuoso Pandit Habib Khan, Tabla Maestro Swapan Chaudri and in Jass concerts with Guitar virtuoso Fareed Haque. Ramesh has researched and tried designing software named “Rhythm Generator” –with the goal of generating “rhythmic scores” for basic thalas, using simulation, modeling and AI (Artificial Intelligence) techniques as part of his B.Tech thesis in IIT Madras, India. Ramesh’s style is noted for sensitivity to music and highly proactive support. He runs a percussion school “Sarvalaghu Percussion Art Center” in San Francisco Bay Area.
