vocal strain by Anu - 2/10/2006 Post a Response
My throat seem to strain/ache when I practice singing Carnatic music on certain scales of the song. It mostly happens while singing a phrase based on the higher notes, above the higher Sa. My sruti is G (5). But even when I reduced my sruti to F sharp, I got the voice strain singing the higher notes.

I would like to know how to correct this, so that I can sing a song in a leisurely manner, not with strain. I wonder anyone else experienced this.
