Vidushi Neela Ramgopal is an accomplished Carnatic vocalist and sought after Guru from Bangalore whose musical career spans five decades. She trained under well-known Sri N.M.Narayanan (music analyst of the Hindu) and the legendary Sri. T.K. Rangachari.
A top ranked artiste of All India Radio, she has performed at esteemed sabhas and venues all over India and abroad. Neela Ramgopal’s unique music style integrates an intellectual approach to the content with an emphasis on laya and bhava. She received the prestigious Sangeet Natak Academy Award (the highest recognition given to a performing artiste by the Government of India) in 2018. Neela Ramgopal runs a music school called Neelambari out of her home in Bangalore teaching students for over eight hours a day. She has trained several students who are performing musicians today. In recognition, The Madras Music Academy conferred on her the prestigious Sangeetha Kala Acharya Award in 2011.
Prema Vivek (Violin) is a graded artist of AIR, Bangalore. She had her initial training under Sri. H.V. Krishnamurthy of Bangalore and also trained under Sangeetha Kalanidhi Kanyakumari. She is currently receiving advanced training under Vidushi Neela Ramgopal.
Ranjani Siddhanth Venkatesh (Mridangam) is an A grade artist of AIR, Bangalore. She had her initial training under Vidwan Bellari Marianna and later under Vidwan N.G. Ravi and Vidwan Bangalore H.S.Sudhindra. She has accompanied several leading musicians like Dr. Balamurali Krishna, Dr TS Satyavathi, Vidushi Neela Ramgopal to name a few.
Bhagyalakshmi M. Krishna (Morching) is a student of her father Vidwan Dr. L. Bhimachar, a well known exponent of morching. She is an A grade artist of AIR, Bangalore. She has performed in leading sabhas in Chennai including the Madras Music Academy.
Kirtana J (vocal support) is a graded artist of AIR, Bangalore. She is a student of Vidushi Neela Ramgopal. She has given many concerts at a number of venues all over India. She received the “Best Individual Performer” award in the Radel mid-year concert series from the Madras Music Academy in 2018. She has provided vocal support to her Guru at several concerts.
