Meera Ratnagiri started learning Kuchipudi at the tender age of 5 under the tutelage of her mother. She has continued her Kuchipudi training with Padmavani Mosalakanti in numerous workshops. Her formal introduction to Bharatanatyam began with Lavanya Raghuraman at the age of 9. She now continues advanced training under the guidance of Sai Santhosh Radakrishnan. With the blessings of her gurus she has won the dance competition at Cleveland Aradhana and the Natyanjali competition organized by NewJersey NatyaSangamam (NJNS).  In 2018, having earned first place, NJNS gave her the opportunity to perform at the Narada Gana Sabha during the Chennai music and dance season. Meera completed her Rangapravesham on October 15, 2022 under the guidance of Kishore Mosalikanti on Nattuvangam and continues to perform both Kuchipudi and Barathnatyam. She has performed on multiple occasions around her community from retirement homes to museums to temples in an effort to spread awareness and share this dance form. She has also used her art form to raise money for causes including the Yemen Humanitarian crisis and Chennai flood relief in 2017.
